We are currently working on behalf of a multi award-winning technology startup based in Shoreditch, assisting with their search for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their growing team. Backed by Google and currently taking the Global media market by storm, this is a company with an unwavering commitment to innovation and a working culture that is – genuinely – second to none.

Involved in truly ground-breaking projects, the DevOps Engineer will report directly to the VP Engineering and will be pivotal in helping to build cutting-edge innovations for a world-leading platform. You’ll be joining a rapidly growing technical team which – due to hardwork and success – has trebled in size over the last 12mths, and be offered tangible opportunities to further both your career and your technical armoury (all whilst maintaining a healthy and sustainable work/life balance).

The right DevOps Engineer will be someone who is naturally curious about new technologies, and who is passionate about finding innovative ways to build solutions. You’ll thrive in an environment that is highly collaborative, and be enthusiastic about contributing to the definition of the product. This is not a typical DevOps role, and requires someone who can think outside the box.

Your responsibilities will centre around the build of efficient CI/CD pipelines to support your fellow developers. You’ll manage AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code principles, deploying both microservices and long-running components, and implement performance monitoring/alerting. This role is about bringing engineering excellence, and there are some amazing (but top secret) projects currently in the pipeline.

From a technical perspective, you’ll be expected to work with (and therefore have experience with) a vast array of AWS services managed with Terraform, as well as Node.js microservices packaged with Docker and deployed on Kubernetes. You’ll have CI/CD skills (with Travis), know your way around AWS API Gateway / Lambda using the serverless framework, and be familiar with Agile/Lean development practises.

This is a superb opportunity for any DevOps Engineer looking for an exciting challenge within an exciting and dynamic tech startup. If you’re interested please send your CV asap or get in touch for more information.
